American Legion and Red Shirt Day in Boulder City

Pictured here are Linda and David Graham on Friday morning outside the Boulder Dam Hotel and Linda at her American Legion Meeting on Veterans Day 2011.

Our troops pay the price everyday for our freedoms here in our great country, the United States of America. To show our support, Boulder City residents wear red on Fridays to commemorate them in a small way. Linda Graham currently serves as the President of the Boulder City American Legion Auxiliary Unit 31. The Auxiliary's mission is to serve veterans, their families, and their communities. Their contributions include academic scholarships, fundraising for disabled veterans, taking in supplies for our troops, and placing flags on each of the Boulder City veterans' graves on Memorial Day. Linda knows first hand the sacrifices of our fighting troops as she grew up as a military kid as the daughter of a Chief Master Sergeant in the Airforce, the sister of an enlisted army veteran, and the mother of a former Airmen in the Air National Guard. Let's continue to honor our troops and pull out our favorite red clothing items on Fridays.
